Despite this change, the ceremony still featured prominent performers, influential billionaires, and foreign dignitaries, marking a significant return for Trump to the political stage.

The event inside the Capitol Rotunda included Melania Trump, Trump's children, and their spouses. Don Jr. and Lara Trump have gained influence, while Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, though stepping back from politics, were also present. The limited space in the Rotunda allowed only 600 attendees, including Supreme Court justices, military leaders, former presidents, Cabinet nominees, and members of Congress, although some Democratic lawmakers chose to skip the event.
