Delivery partners protest: In Kolkata, a large protest rally was organised by partners of Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit, and Zepto, along with citizens, in response to the horrific rape and murder of a trainee doctor. The participants took part in candlelight vigils, and many switched off their lights in solidarity. West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose also joined the protest by turning off the lights at Raj Bhavan and lighting a candle to show his support.

A video of the bike rally, shared by a user on X, highlighted the scale of the protest. The caption read: "Massive protest rally today in Kolkata by partners of Swiggy, Zomato, Blinkit & Zepto against the RG Kar incident. Such was never seen anywhere in India."
