Pushpa-2 actor Allu Arjun was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court shortly after a lower court sent him to a 14-day judicial custody.

Pushpa-2 actor Allu Arjun was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court shortly after a lower court sent him to a 14-day judicial custody. Earlier, the actor was arrested and sent to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the death of a woman during the premiere of his latest movie 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. The bail was granted on a personal bond of Rs 50,000.

“It's actually bothering me. Just because he is an actor, can he be held like this? There are no ingredients...On this earth, he has the right to life and liberty. It can't be taken away by virtue of being an actor,” the HC judge said while granting bail to the actor.

Arjun was arrested earlier today in connection with the death of a woman at Sandhya Theatre on December 4. A stampede reportedly broke out at the venue during the premiere of his film 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. On December 6, the actor had put out a message expressing grief over the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre.
