Meta's AI Chat rollout may transform WhatsApp, Facebook experience, says Mark Zuckerberg

Meta’s latest rollout are the AI=-powered chatrooms and Mark Zuckerberg insists that the introduction of AI-powered chat is the company’s latest big leap. The features are currently going to be available to WhatsApp beta users.

Meta’s AI-powered chatrooms are part of its big vision to make human interaction richer with the intervention of artificial intelligence. Conversational AI which can be integrated into existing meta platforms to drive engaging experiences on all these platforms is the next level of Meta experience. Mark Zuckerberg promises this to be the ‘best AI assistant’ for its users. Also, he promises that it could make life a lot easier for humans with enhanced assistance.

As per Meta, simple queries to content generation, AI, and chat integration have tremendous potential in creating layered conversations. Artificial Intelligence can analyse and add suggestions in conversations as well. Powered by the Llama 2 model, the tool will drive engagement with tools like stickers, voice chat, and more. The announcement for WhatsApp beta was made in the Connect 2023 event. The features are likely to be akin to the Bing Chat and according to details revealed by Meta, the AI can be given a distinct personality. The beta program is for a small group of testers. While the Android testing has been available for some time, the iOS testing has been closed.

The announcement comes soon after WhatsApp hit 100 million users in the United States. Meta is currently broadcasting information about the WhatsApp beta program through its WhatsApp channel – WABetaInfo. 

So what exactly is Meta AI?

Meta Ai is artificial intelligence that can be used within chats. Only chats marked @Meta.ai get copied to Meta. According to Mark Zuckerberg, it can answer questions and give solutions to complicated problems. It can be accessed on WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook by typing @meta.ai within chats.
