Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana Next Installment Of Rs 1500 For Women: Minister Aditi Tatkare Shares Update
Maharashtra's Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is back on track after a pause due to the election code of conduct.
The Maharashtra government has resumed the distribution of monthly installments under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, a scheme designed to financially empower women across the state.
Maharashtra Govt’s Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare confirmed the development on Tuesday, explaining that the process had been temporarily halted due to the implementation of the election code of conduct during the recent assembly elections.
“Taking another important step towards women empowerment, today, under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri. Devendraji Fadnavis (@Dev_Fadnavis), Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Eknathji Shinde (@mieknathshinde) and Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Ajitdada Pawar @AjitPawarSpeaks), the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana is successfully running. The process, which was stopped due to the model code of conduct for the assembly elections, has been resumed today and the process of distributing the honor fund for the month of December to about 67,92,292 sisters has begun in the second phase,” said Tatkare in a social media post.
She further announced that the second phase, covering the month of December, would provide financial support to approximately 68 lakh women (67,92,292 women).

In another tweet, she emphasized the satisfaction and positive impact the scheme has on its beneficiaries:
“It is heartwarming to see the satisfaction on the faces of women as they complete today’s phase of this initiative, which was started for women with the concept of Chief Minister Shri. Devendraji Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Eknathji Shinde, and Deputy Chief Minister Shri. Ajitdada Pawar. It is hoped that this fund will bring positive changes in their lives.”
Ladki Bhain Yojana: Features
Eligible women will receive Rs., 15,00 monthly.
Three free LPG cylinders will be provided annually.
Fee waivers for poor girls belong to Other Backward Classes (OBC)and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) for higher education in colleges.
The beneficiary has to be a resident of Maharashtra, between 18 to 60 years old, and must belong to a family making less than Rs 2.5 lakh per year. She should also not be getting any other financial assistance from the government for the same purpose.
The benefits will be distributed directly to the beneficiaries' bank accounts within weeks of approval.
Incoming Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis has said that the beneficiaries of Ladki Bahin Yojana will be scrutinised again, and the women who do not meet the requirements of the scheme will be excluded, that is, they will not get the money allotted from the scheme henceforth.
