Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis says, "First of all, I don't react to Sanjay Raut. But I am reacting today because it is necessary. I know that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has won in Jharkhand and it has won in a very legitimate manner. The election there was completely fair. The Election Commission has done a good job there. The EVMs there were so strong that they could not be hacked. Democracy has won there and if we have got a huge victory in Maharashtra, then the Election Commission has become biased. Here the EVMs have been hacked. Here democracy has been murdered. Look, sometimes one needs to introspect...", ANI reported

Hailing the victory of the BJP-led alliance in Maharashtra, Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday said people of the western state reposed faith in the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. He also said that the INDIA alliance would fall apart.

The union minister of state for Home alleged that Congress and its allies in Maharashtra "tried to spread misinformation against the BJP" but  the voters did not believe that. as reported by PTI. 
 

Amid a sweep by the Mahayuti in the Maharashtra assembly polls, the Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen was managing to hold its own in Chhatrapati Sambhajninagar, Marathwada's largest district.

Its former Lok Sabha MP Imtiaz Jaleel was in a close contest in Aurangabad East seat against BJP leader and state minister Atul Save in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, while in Aurangabad Central, Naseruddin Siddiqui was leading against Shiv Sena's Pradip Jaiswal, PTI reported.

As the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance heads towards majority in Maharashtra according to the initial trends, BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi on Saturday said that the people of Maharashtra has chosen 'Vichaar ki virasat' over 'Parivar ki virasat'. 
He said that the Maharashtra elections were a fight between 'Vichaar ki virasat' or 'Parivar ki virasat'.  
BJP leader stated that the Mahayuti is reclaiming power in Maharashtra because of the development works done by the state government and the hard work done by the BJP and its allies, ANI reported.

The BJP has so far won three seats and was leading in 124 others, ANI reported.

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena of Raj Thackeray and Prakash Ambedkar's Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi failed to make an impact in the state assembly polls as trends showed the ruling Mahayuti cruising to a landslide victory.

Parties like the Samajwadi Party and All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen were in a slightly better position. While the MNS had fielded 125 candidates, the VBA had 200 candidates in the fray, PTI reported.

Call it a charismatic show by the power coupleHemant Soren and Kalpana Sorenwhom the BJP had dubbed as 'Bunty aur Babli,' Jharkhand's JMM is on track to secure a second consecutive term as part of the INDIA bloc.

Both Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife, legislator Kalpana Soren, who entered politics after her husband's arrest earlier this year, held nearly 200 election rallies after elections were announced, PTI reported.

Hemant Soren's JMM-led alliance was all set to retain Jharkhand as it was leading in at least 50 seats in the 81-member state assembly on Saturday, as per the Election Commission data, PTI reported.

Union Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari congratulated the Mahayuti for the stellar performance in the Maharashtra assembly polls and said the ruling alliance prioritised development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As per trends available on the Election Commission data, the Mahayuti was leading in more than 210 of the 288 assembly seats, with BJP itself having the upper hand on more than 120 seats. The half way mark is 144.

"Heartfelt congratulations to the people of Maharashtra for the historic victory of the BJP-Mahayuti alliance in the Assembly elections! Under the leadership of PM Narendramodi Ji, the BJP-Mahayuti has consistently prioritised development and remains committed to Maharashtra's holistic progress and the aspirations of its people," Gadkari said in a post on X, ANI reported.
 

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Saturday said the coalition does not have a definitive formula that the party bagging the most seats will get the chief minister's post.

He said the poll trends were in favour of the Mahayuti because of his flagship initiative, the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.

Early trends have indicated that the Mahayuti, comprising the BJP, Shiv Sena and NCP, will retain the power in Maharashtra.

Speaking to reporters, Shinde said, “I thank all my ladki bahins (dear sisters) in the state and the brothers who voted in large numbers for us. The voting trend is an endorsement of our work,” ANI reported.
 

) Parag Shah of the BJP retained his Ghatkopar East assembly constituency, defeating rival NCP (SP) nominee by 34,999 votes. Shah, the richest candidate in the Maharashtra polls, bagged 85,388 votes, while Rakhee Jadhav of the Sharad Pawar-led party polled 50,389 votes, PTI said.
 

The mandate of the people of Maharashtra has shown who is carrying forward the ideals of late Bal Thackeray, said Shiv Sena Lok Sabha MP and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's son Shrikant Shinde as early trends of the assembly polls showed the Mahayuti winning emphatically. He also said the results endorsed the work of the chief minister and underlined the fact that Shiv Sena is "not a private limited company", PTI said.

Saturday's results of the state assembly polls, which are overwhelmingly in the BJP's favour, will determine the next phase of Fadnavis' career, PTI reported . There are speculations he will become the next Chief Minister. 

,Rajasthan BJP President Madan Rathore on Saturday said that people have voted for "Modi ki Guarantee." He expressed confidence in the BJP forming the government with a majority in states where general assembly elections were held recently, ANI Reported.

“Maharashtra elections are opposite to our expectations.There is no doubt that we could have done better. At the same time, however, we are happy that we have performed well in Jharkhand and we are going to repeat our government there.” said Congress leader Supriya Shrinate, as reported by ANI.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has gained a comfortable lead of 34,118 votes over his nephew and NCP (SP) candidate Yugendra Pawar in the early rounds of counting in the Baramati assembly constituency. After round seven of counting, the NCP chief, seeking an eighth term from Baramati, has polled 65,211 votes against his debutante nephew's 31,096, as reported by ANI.

Talking to reporters, BJP MLC Darekar said, “Based on the current trends, I believe that the BJP will be the single largest party and Devendra Fadnavis should become the chief minister. The election was contested under his leadership, and he called for a 'dharma yuddha' in these assembly polls.” Reported ANI

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has emerged as a surprise element in the Jharkhand assembly elections with its candidates leading in five of the six seats where the party is contesting, according to trends available on the Election Commission's website on Saturday. RJD candidates in five assembly seats were leading over sitting BJP legislators, PTI reported.
 

"They have done some 'gadbad', they have stolen some of our seats. This cannot be the public's decision. Even the public does not agree with these results. Once the results are out, we will talk more. In every election seat, money-counting machines were installed. Is it possible that Shinde will get 60 seats, Ajit Pawar will get 40 seats and BJP will get 125 seats? The people of this state are not dishonest. We have their faith in the people of Maharashtra," Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut told media persons in Mumbai, as reported by ANI.

The counting for assembly elections in Maharashtra is underway, and early trends show NCP candidate Sana Malik leading in the Anushakti Nagar constituency. Sana Malik was leading NCP-SCP's Fahad Ahmad with over 2500 votes as of 10:30 am, according to data from the Election Commission of India, ANI reported.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren was leading in the Barhait assembly constituency by a margin of 2,812 votes over BJP’s Gamliyel Hembrom. In 2019, Soren contested two seats -- Barhait and Dumka -- and won both by a margin of 25,740 votes and 13,188 votes respectively, PTI reported.

JMM leader and Jharkhand CM's wife Kalpana Soren trailing by 3,910 votes., against her nearest BJP rival Muniya Devi after the second round of counting, according to the Election Commission, PTI reported.

As of 10 30 am, INDI is leading with 50 seats, NDA is at 29, and Others at 2, in Jharakhand

Congress leader Rakesh Sinha exuded confidence saying that the results will be in favour of the ‘Mahaghathbandhan in Jharakhand.’ Sinha also said BJP would be reduced to just 7-8 seats in Jharkhand since the people of the state will not accept a party that raises slogans like ‘Batoge toh Katoge.’  Speaking to ANI, Sinha said, "The results will come in our favour. People have shown their support, love and blessings to the candidates of 'Mahaghathbandhan'. The public in Jharkhand has said that they are not going to accept people like those who raise slogans like 'Batoge toh Katoge.'
 

Early trends in Maharashtra's 2024 Assembly Elections show the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance in the lead as of 9:10 AM on Saturday. As per initial results, the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena is leading in nine seats, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in eight, and the BJP in 10 seats, ANI reported.
 

BJP candidate and former Jharkhand Chief Minister, Champai Soren said on Saturday that there is no doubt that the BJP is going to win in the assembly polls in the state and it will be clear in the next few hours.
Speaking to ANI, Soren said, "BJP is going to win, there is no doubt. BJP-NDA is going to form the government...People have voted in favour of the BJP."
 

Ahead of the counting of votes for the 2024 Jharkhand assembly elections, Congress leader Rajesh Thakur on Saturday said that the election result would also bring out the result of the work they have done. He expressed that the alliance in the state would form an even stronger government once again. 
"From what I understand, the result of the work we did will be out today," Thakur said, ANI reported.

 "Early trends are coming in favour of Mahayuti and we can see that Mahayuti is getting a clear majority. I can say it for sure that Mahayuti government is going to form government," says Union Minister Ramdas Athawale

Ahead of the counting of votes for the Maharashtra elections 2024, Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate from Wadala, Shraddha Jadhav, said, "Results will come out today. Our victory is certain, you will see it... Maha Vikas Aghadi will form the government." (ANI)

Ahead of counting of votes for the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly Elections, BJP leader Babulal Marandi claimed with confidence that the BJP-led NDA would win over 51 seats and form the government in the state, citing corruption in the incumbent administration as the key reason, reported ANI.
