Elon Musk’s simple yet impactful response to a social media post by Aravind Srinivas, the Indian-origin CEO of Perplexity AI, has become a talking point online. Srinivas, who has been waiting for his green card for three years, took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his thoughts on the matter. “I think I should get a green card. Wdyt?” he asked.

While many responded, it was Musk’s concise reply that stood out. The tech billionaire simply wrote, “Yes.” The directness of his answer quickly gained traction, drawing reactions from across the platform. Srinivas, too, acknowledged Musk’s comment with a red heart and folded hands emoji, further fuelling the online discussion.
