“Mutual funds were an alien product in rural India. However, now, ‘mutual funds’ are more searched for in rural areas than in urban cities. Trends in mutual funds are changing rapidly,” said Sundeep Sikka, ED & CEO, Nippon MF at India Economic Summit. 

Addressing the India Economic Summit 2024, Confederation of Indian Industry, Director General, Chandrajit Banerjee said that national Security should be our top priority in terms of trade and investment. He also emphasised that the large number of jobs will come from mid-size companies.

“They will be able to become a larger part of the supply chain and play a crucial role,” he said.

At the fourth edition of Republic's India Economic Summit 2024, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman , when asked by Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami on the issue of prioritizing Chinese investments over national interest, firmly stated that the Indian government has 'no compromise here.'

Editor-in-chief Arnab said, "How do you balance the economic potential of Chinese investment and investment from other countries with the imperative of making our national interest and economic sovereignty as well"
