In his post Musk wrote, "Girl, you're not the governor of Canada anymore, so doesn't matter what you say."
The Tesla CEO commented at a time when Justin Trudeau while commenting on Canada's sovereignty said that there is absolutely no chance that Canada will become a part of the US.
Trudeau had written in his post on X, "There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that Canada would become a part of the United States."
"Workers and communities in both our countries benefit from being each other's biggest trading and security partner," he added.
In response to this post Musk said that it does not really matter what he says anymore since he is not in power.
Trump Shares New Map Of US
This war of words also took place amid the controversy that Trump had managed to stir by sharing a map of the United States which falsely depicts Canada as being a part of the US. It is not merely coincidental that Trump had also shared earlier that he wished to use "economic force" to bring Canada into the US. This statement had also received condemnation from Justin Trudeau.
Where Does The Name 'Governor Trudeau' Come From?
Donald Trump throughout his term, has never had a good relationship with Justin Trudeau as he has been vocal about the idea of making Canada the 51st state of the United States, ever since his meeting with Trudeau post his electoral victory on November 5.
Since then, Trump himself has used the term 'Governor Trudeau' in several posts on social media to mock Justin Trudeau.
