The high-octane elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand are over and the Exit Polls are predicting a return of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti in Maharashtra. It may be noted that the Maharashtra Assembly has 288 seats and the winning party/ alliance will have to cross the 144-seat mark in order to form a government in the state.In the 81-seater Jharkhand Assembly, the party/ alliance, which secures 41 seats or more can form the government.
