EPFO: UAN-Aadhaar Linking Deadline On January 15 - How To Do It Online | Steps ​

All employers are advised to prioritise UAN activation and Aadhaar seeding for employees, especially for the ones hired in the current fiscal year (FY25).

The deadline to activate Universal Account Number (UAN) and link Aadhaar with bank accounts under the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) scheme is January 15.

The Employees Provident Fund Organisation ( EPFO ) had earlier set the original deadline as November 30, which got extended to December 15, and now has been finally extended to January 15, 2025.

All employers are advised to prioritise UAN activation and Aadhaar seeding for employees, especially for the ones hired in the current fiscal year (FY25).

How To Link Aadhaar With UAN Online

1. Visit the EPFO website.
2. Log in with your UAN and password.
3. Go to the 'Manage' section and choose KYC.
4. You will be redirected to a new website where you can link your Aadhaar with EPF account.
5. Click on 'Aadhaar,' enter your Aadhaar number and name as on the card.
6. Now, click on 'Save' button, your Aadhaar will be validated using UIDAI data.
7. Upon KYC approval, your Aadhaar will be successfully linked, & the words 'Verified' will be displayed next to your Aadhaar data.

What Is The ELI Scheme?

The Employment Linked Incentive scheme was launched to create two crore jobs in the country in the next two years to boost employment in the formal sector.

The government has announced three schemes under the ELI scheme in the Union Budget 2024 as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi 's combination of five schemes for job creation and skill development. With an outlay of Rs 2 lakh crore these schemes are expected to benefit over four crore youth.
