Harsh Goenka, Chairman of RPG Enterprises, posted a four-minute video on social media platform X that highlighted the voices of India's Prime Ministers from its Independence in 1947 to the present day in 2024.

What Did The Recordings Say?
The first was Jawaharlal Nehru, India's Prime Minister from 1947 to 1964, who said “Hum mei se jo bhool jaein unka kartawya kya hai, unhone apne mulk ke saath wafadaari nai ki,” which loosely translates to “ Those of us who forget our duties have not been loyal to our countries.”
The recording also included Gulzari Lal Nanda, who was the PM in 1964 for just 13 days.
Lal Bahadur Shastri, who was the Prime Minister from 1964-1966 said in the recording, “Ye jo swarajya aya hai use hum mazbooti se apne pass rakhenge”, which implies, “ The Independence we have got, we will keep it fortified”.
Indira Gandhi, 1966 to 1977, and 1980 to 1984, “Kis cheese ne Bharat ko pehle kamzoor kiya tha, jisse humne apni azadi khoi”, which transaltes to “What made India weak that we lost our independence”.
The recording also includes names of Morarji Desai, Chaudhary Charan Singh, Rajiv Gandhi, Vishwanath Pratap Singh, YP Singh, Chandra Shekhar, PV Narsimha Rao, among others.

Recordings From Recent History
More recent in India's history includes, Atal Bihari Vajpayee 1996-1996 and 1998-2004, who said, “Jab me rajneeti me aya that, maine socha nai tha me MP banunga.”, which translates to, “When I entered politics, I never thought I would become an MP.”
The recording also included the likes of Erstwhile Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, 2004 to 2014, and current Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
