DDA's new housing schemes see 1,100+ registrations in 48 hours: Know it all

DDA's housing schemes: The Delhi Development Authority's new housing scheme "DDA Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024' witnessed more than 1,100 registrations in the first two days.

Delhi Development Authority has come up with three housing schemes for 2024, which include, DDA Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024, the DDA Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024, and the DDA Madhyam Vargiya Housing Scheme 2024, according to its official website.

What are these schemes?

These three housing schemes offer around 40,000 affordable homes to various income groups under HIG, MIG, LIG, and EWS. Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024 offered 173 flats in Sectors 19B, 16B and 14 of Dwarka.

The Madhyam Vargiya Housing Scheme 2024 offers 5,531 flats in Narela, Loknayakpuram, and Jasola. The lowest priced homes under the Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme are Rs 11.5 lakh each for LIG and EWS categories, with 39,573 proposed under different categories.

Beginning on September 10, flat reservations will be accepted for the Madhyam Vargiya Scheme and the Sasta Ghar Scheme.

DDA Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024

In the first two days, 414 people registered for the DDA Dwarka Housing Scheme 2024 through e-auctioning. The scheme provides high-end living solutions in Dwarka. It offers 173 luxury flats, starting at Rs 1.28 crore, in Dwarka. The units are available in Sectors 14, 16B, and 19B across categories like HIG, MIG, and LIG.

The plan includes several high-end options, including a penthouse in Sector 19-B for a reserve price of about Rs 5.19 crore, four super HIG apartments in Sector 19-B for Rs 2.59 crore, and many MIG apartments in the outstanding sectors for Rs 1.28 crore to Rs 1.47 crore.

Registration, which requires an Earnest Money Deposit, started on August 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM, and the process of booking will start on September 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Applications must be completed by interested buyers no later than March 31, 2025.

DDA Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024

Under the DDA Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme 2024, there is a plan to offer some affordable housing options with prices starting from Rs 11.5 lakh and totaling 34,177 flats. 

Places involved are Ramgarh Colony, Siraspur, Lok Nayak Puram, Rohini, Narela, targeting LIG and EWS categories. The registration process started on August 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Bookings are scheduled to open on September 10, 2024, from 11:00 am. Application deadline is on March 31, 2025.

DDA Madhyam Vargiya Housing Scheme 2024

The DDA Madhyam Vargiya Housing Scheme 2024 has on offer a total of 5,531 flats in locations such as Jasola, Loknayakpuram, Narela, with prices starting from Rs 29 lakh. This project is not like the others, as it offers all the categories of HIG, MIG, LIG, and EWS flats at 2023 pricing without any escalation.

Over 30,000 registered customers who had applied in FCFS Phase-IV and Diwali FCFS need not re-register for Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya and can directly participate in the flat booking process.

DDA's history

The DDA has allocated more than one million housing units since it was constituted in the year 1967. Housing units under DDA are catered to with an approach to fulfill the needs and requirements of different sections of society, keeping in view their needs and budgets.

The DDA from time to time has issued notifications regarding housing schemes through leading newspapers and advertisements pertaining to various categories of flats. So far, about 52 such schemes have been brought out and homes have been allotted to applicants in all these schemes.
