PAN 2.0 project gets Cabinet nod: The Union Cabinet, on Monday, approved the PAN 2.0 Project of the Income Tax Department. Approved at a cost of Rs 1435 crore, the project will enable a technology-driven transformation of Taxpayer registration services. According to the information shared by the government, the PAN 2.0 project enables ‘technology-driven/ transformation of taxpayer registration services. The move is in line with the government’s plan to transform towards becoming a digital economy.

- Eco-friendly processes and cost optimisation
- Security and optimisation of infrastructure for greater agility.
Among others, the Union Cabinet approved One Nation One Subscription, a new Central Sector Scheme for providing country-wide access to scholarly research articles and journal publications, through a simple, user-friendly and fully digital process. The Cabinet approved a budget of Rs 6000 crore for the scheme for the next three calendar years.
The Cabinet also cleared Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) 2.0, in a step towards Viksit Bharat that aims to expand, strengthen, and deepen India’s already vibrant innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. The scheme is allocated a budget of Rs 2,750 crore for the period till March 31, 2028
National Mission on Natural Farming, with a total outlay of Rs 2481 crore was also cleared by the Union Cabinet headed by PM Narendra Modi . The initiative has been approved as a standalone Centrally Sponsored Scheme under the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare.
