LIC scholarship launched: The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has rolled out the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024 to provide financial assistance to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds across the country.
Application timeline for Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2024
The application window for this scholarship will open on December 8, 2024, and close on December 22, 2024. Interested students can submit their applications online via the official LIC website at www.licindia.in. It is important to note that only online applications will be accepted for this scheme
On the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), LIC posted, “A brighter future begins with the right opportunity. We are thrilled to announce the GJF Scholarship Scheme 2024. Applications will open on 08.12.2024, and eligible students can apply online across India.”
What is the eligibility criteria?
The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship is available to students who have completed their Class X, Class XII, or diploma exams in the academic years 2021-22, 2022-23, or 2023-24, with at least 60% marks or an equivalent CGPA. Applicants must also be enrolling in the first year of their course for the academic year 2024-25.
Who can benefit from the scholarship?
- Undergraduate degrees in Medicine, Engineering, or any other discipline.
- Diploma or integrated vocational courses in government-approved institutions or ITIs.
- Additionally, a specific scholarship is available for girls pursuing Class XI and XII or two-year diploma courses after Class X.
How to apply?
To apply, students must complete the online application form and provide a valid email ID and phone number for communication. Once the application is submitted, candidates will receive an acknowledgement email. All further communication regarding the application will be handled by the LIC divisional office mentioned there.
How will the scholarship be disbursed?
Successful candidates will receive the scholarship funds directly into their bank accounts via NEFT. To facilitate smooth transactions, LIC advises students to provide correct bank account details, including the IFSC code and a cancelled cheque. For candidates with accounts in merged banks, the updated IFSC code must be provided.
