Monday brought a bearish wave across global markets as major indices ended in the red. Indian markets saw declines in both Nifty and Sensex, the top gainers were Adani Enterprises, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Apollo Hospitals, and Sun Pharma, while BEL, Hindalco, Trent, Tata Motors, and ONGC led the losses. On the Sensex, gainers included Zomato, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, TCS, HUL, and Bajaj Finserv, whereas PowerGrid, ITC, Reliance Industries, L&T, and SBI were the top laggards. at the same time, Wall Street closed lower amid profit-taking pressure and economic concerns. Market Close: Sensex Dips While Nifty Edges Up
The Indian stock market ended on a mixed note today, with the Sensex slipping by 21.66 points, or 0.03%, to close at 78,226.47. Meanwhile, the Nifty managed to edge up by 13.25 points, or 0.06%, ending the day at 23,658.15. Among the top gainers on the Nifty were BEL, ONGC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Trent, and Coal India, while the biggest losers included Adani Enterprises, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, and SBI Life Insurance. On the Sensex, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, and NTPC emerged as the top gainers, while Asian Paints, Tech Mahindra, Zomato, Axis Bank, and HCL Technologies were the major losers.
