Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RVPN) have officially incorporated Rajasthan Power Grid Transmission Company Limited (RPTCL) as a joint venture. With 74% equity held by POWERGRID and 26% by RVPN, the venture aims to develop an advanced intra-state transmission system in Rajasthan.

Power Grid JV details 
RPTCL’s authorized and paid-up share capital stands at Rs 5 lakh, with POWERGRID subscribing to 37,000 equity shares at a face value of Rs 10 each. The project has received approval from the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM), Government of India.
 

‘POWERGRID* has subscribed 37,000 (ThirtySeven Thousand) equity shares at the face value of ₹10 each,’ as mentioned in the exchange filing.

Following the Power Grid share price surged, as today the stock opened at Rs 308.70 and went a intraday day high of Rs 311.25 and low of Rs 306.00, closed at 310.95. The company market cap stands at Rs 2,89,202.28 Cr.
