Nifty set to open on a flat note amid stable cues from Asian markets

The US dollar held onto Friday's gains following strong spending data, reducing expectations of a more aggressive half-point rate cut from the Federal Reserve.Futures are fully pricing in a 25-basis-point cut on September 18, with a 33 per cent chance of a 50-basis-point reduction. Markets also expect a total of 100 basis points in cuts by December and 120 basis points by 2025.The Bank of Canada is expected to announce another rate cut on Wednesday, with a 22 per cent chance of a 50-basis-point reduction.The upcoming US payrolls report on Friday is crucial, with analysts predicting a rise of 1,65,000 jobs and a slight drop in the unemployment rate to 4.2 per cent.
