Dollar strengthens versus yen as BOJ strikes cautious stance on rate hikes

The BOJ kept rates steady at 0.25%, a move that was widely expected. The dollar rose as high as 144.50 yen, reaching its highest level since early September. It was last up 0.92% at 143.92.
