MIROR trains 4,000 Asha workers to enable dialogue on menopause in rural India
MIROR has emerged as a key player in menopause care with the creation of India's largest WhatsApp community for women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
Enabling dialogue on menopause: MIROR, a Bengaluru-based FemTech startup has partnered with the National Health Mission (NHM) to expand its reach, particularly in rural areas. By training over 4,000 Asha workers, who are pivotal in delivering healthcare at the grassroots level, the startup has sought to raise awareness about menopause care in underserved regions.
These efforts, coupled with educational campaigns in Bengaluru’s police divisions, have solidified MIROR’s mission to provide 360-degree care for women.
MIROR has emerged as a key player in menopause care with the creation of India's largest WhatsApp community for women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
Launched in March 2023, the platform now connects over 1,500 women across English, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada-speaking groups. Through these communities, MIROR facilitates meaningful conversations on health and well-being during this critical phase of life.
CEO and founder Sanjith Shetty said, “Our recent partnership with NHM and our work with organizations like the Indian Menopause Society reflect our mission to reach more women and provide them with the care, knowledge, and community they deserve.”
“It is heartening to see the impact we have made, from our 1,500+ strong WhatsApp community to the 4,000 Asha workers we have trained. We are committed to continuing this journey and ensuring every woman can confidently navigate this crucial phase of life,” says Shetty.
MIROR's efforts come at a time when India’s menopause care industry is expected to see significant growth, from its current valuation of $72.7 million to an anticipated $147.3 million by 2034. The company's recent product launch, Miror Revive, has also gained traction, indicating its strong market presence. MIROR aims to further expand its reach, with the goal of becoming a billion-dollar company in the near future.
