'This Is A Rising Nation' - Arvind Panagariya Bullish On India Story | India Economic Summit 2024
“The freedom available to entrepreneurs, interacting with massive technological changes are going to bring about a different world.” said Panangariya
Renowned economist Arvind Panagaryia strongly believes that the India story will be a success. ALL the action in the coming decade will be in India, because the country is growing faster that any other major economy. The growth story is one which will continue for some years to come. “I believe in the Bharat story but I also believe in Prime Minister Modi.” Panagariya said at the India Economic Summit, hosted at Republic Media Headquarters.
India is an emerging player
Panagariya also stated that India as a country is not only large and young, but is also growing in population, while most other countries are older and shrinking in population. This factor gives India an added advantage to rise above others. He also said that one of the major reasons for rising India is the ease of doing business today. Starting businesses in India used to be very hard in the seventies as compared to the difficulties faced today. “We came out of something which was counter productive, unproductive, and growth retarding.” Panagaryia said. The situation then is in sharp contrast to the growing and thriving India today. “The freedom available to entrepreneurs, interacting with massive technological changes are going to bring about a different world.” he added.
The India Economic Summit
India Economic Summit concluded on Tuesday at the Republic Media headquarters, and saw the participation of notable names like Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman , MD Amul Jayen Mehta, boat founder Aman Gupta, Infoedge founder Sanjeev Bhikchandani, among other notable names. “Global observers of Indian economy have very clearly said that India is the fastest growing economy. Not for this year, but next year as well” said Sitharaman pointing towards a bright future for India.
