Silveline Power has entered into a Technology License Agreement worth USD 135 MILLION with SRAM & MRAM Group for Hydrogen fuel-based Electric Vehicles. The well-proven technology (approximately USD 3 billion) is indigenously developed by SRAM. The Group is building all the requisite technologies for their EV ecosystem along with ancillary supplies ecosystem thus enabling the complete supply chain necessary for EV vehicles manufacturing under a technology licensing for USD 135 MILLION to be amortized over a period of 5 years.

SRAM through this collaboration with Silveline Power intends to scale up the manufacturing and commercialise it. This will be a step further in SRAM’s contribution to the “Green and Clean Energy” and “Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan”.

As major economies strive to meet global emission norms and adopt green energy, the Indian Government is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2070. It is rapidly transitioning to clean energy with strategies like expanding renewable capacity, enhancing energy efficiency, and promoting hydrogen through production-linked incentives. In this context, SRAM’s innovators have spent the past decade developing disruptive technologies and have now achieved ground-breaking success with hydrogen fuel cell technology.

Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, is committed to reducing carbon footprints by promoting "green and clean energy" and has initiated the National Hydrogen Mission. SRAM shares this vision, focusing on green hydrogen energy. Now developing advanced hydrogen fuel cell EVs, SRAM's innovations in hydrogen fuel cell storage will significantly boost hydrogen energy production in India and Malaysia.

SRAM is in the advanced stages of perfecting its hydrogen cell storage design, aiming to integrate it with all component manufacturers for two- and four-wheeler EVs. The most expensive components of any EV are the battery and its assemblies, along with the motors. SRAM has already developed a motor design and manufacturing system ready to be adopted for any existing design. Currently, critical components of Li-Ion batteries are costly and pose safety risks in terms of power storage. In contrast, hydrogen cells encased in aluminium molds offer a cheaper and safer battery solution. Using aluminium, the most affordable packing material will significantly reduce costs.

With this development, SRAM will produce the first and most affordable hydrogen fuel-based electric vehicles in India and Malaysia using its proprietary and patented hydrogen fuel cell technology. This ground-breaking mass production program will provide us with a significant first-mover advantage.

The man behind the mission has been the Chairman Dr. Sailesh Lachu Hiranandani who throughout his career has been advocating the need for adaptability to new age technologies. He has been spending quite an amount on start-ups that are working on disruptive technologies in the fields of stem cell research, semiconductor design and development, renewable energy products and solutions including a primary focus on Hydrogen Fuel based battery and mobility solutions, research in solar-PV cells, Information Technology and Bio-Technology. He manages a few investment options of his own where he invests in futuristic technology primarily in energy harvesting technologies, big data analytics and artificial intelligence.

Along with all these he also managed to write a few papers and get hold of a Ph.D. in Financial Management. A visionary with a steadfast background in Financial and Risk management with multiple exposures in Hedge Funds and Forex Managements. Assisted by an able team of Information Technology and Forex associates he set up what is today, after two decades, a global conglomerate with 8 international alliances, 10 companies,5 continents, 35+ locations.
