Q2 earnings season: TCS, IREDA, and Avenue Supermarts set to report next week

TCS, India's leading IT services firm, will launch the Q2 earnings announcements on October 10.

The earnings season is set to commence next week, with notable companies like Tata Consultancy Services ( TCS ) and the Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency ( IREDA ) scheduled to announce their quarterly results for the period ending September 30, 2024. 

TCS , India's leading IT services firm, will launch the Q2 earnings announcements on October 10. In the first quarter of FY25, TCS reported a 9% year-on-year increase in net profit, reaching Rs 12,040 crore, compared to Rs 11,120 crore in the same quarter the previous year. The company's operational revenue also saw a rise, totalling Rs 62,613 crore, which reflects a 5.4% increase from Rs 59,381 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Alongside TCS, Tata Elxsi and Avenue Supermarts (DMart) are amongst the firms set to release their quarterly results. On October 8 and 9, companies such as Navkar Corporation, Emerald Finance, Hawa Engineers, Gautam Gems, Darshan Orna, Lotus Chocolate Company, GTPL Hathway, Western Carriers India, Vivid Mercantile, Rhetan TMT, Kretto Syscon, and RO Jewels will announce their earnings.

Following this, on October 10, TCS , IREDA , Tata Elxsi, Anand Rathi Wealth, Arkade Developers, Den Networks, GM Breweries, Ashoka Metcast Limited, NB Footwear, Hathway Bhawani Cabletel and Datacom, Hathway Cable and Datacom, Reliance Industrial Infrastructure, Plastiblends India, Atishay, PVV Infra, Jagsonpal Finance and Leasing, and Universal Arts will reveal their results. 

Avenue Supermarts is set to announce its earnings on October 12. In the first quarter of FY25, Avenue Supermarts, which operates the well-known DMart retail chain, reported a consolidated profit increase of 17.5%, amounting to ₹774 crore, up from ₹659 crore in the same quarter last year. Additionally, the company's revenue rose by 18.6% year-on-year, totalling ₹14,069 crore.
