In its Q3 FY25 earnings report, released earlier this week, Zomato disclosed a 57% year-on-year drop in net profit, with PAT shrinking to Rs 59 crore. Despite a robust 64% YoY rise in revenue to Rs 5,404 crore, the company faced mounting costs due to the expansion of its quick commerce arm, Blinkit.
Losses in Blinkit climbed to Rs 103 crore this quarter, reflecting accelerated investments. While Zomato’s Going Out and Hyperpure verticals showed strong growth, the challenges in food delivery and Blinkit weighed heavily on its margins.
