Bharti Airtel Clears Rs 3626 Crore Dues - Details
Bharti Airtel has made a prepayment of Rs 3,626 crores with an interest rate higher than 8.65 per cent.
One of India's leading telecommunications companies, Bharti Airtel has prepaid its dues to the Department of telecom (Government of India), and has therefore cleared its liabilities from the spectrum that it had acquired in the 2016 auction.
Bharti Airtel has made a prepayment of Rs 3,626 crores with an interest rate higher than 8.65 per cent.
The telecom giant has paid a total of Rs 28,320 crore in spectrum liabilities in 2024, the company said on Thursday.
The company had also prepaid all its liabilities from the 2012 as well as the 2015 auctions. In 2015, Airtel had secured 111.6MHz of spectrum worth Rs 29,130.20 crore, with an upfront payment of Rs 7,832.58 crore.
Bharti Airtel's shares closed nearly flat at Rs 1,599 per share on the BSE.
Recently, the firm had also launched mobile services around seven border villages including Kupwara and Baramulla.
