Two-wheeler sales surge in October 2024: Royal Enfield by 30.96%, Hero MotoCorp by 18.12%

Two-wheeler segment sales: The two-wheeler segment in India has received positive momentum in the festive season. With the new launches and offers, top two-wheeler manufacturers of India intensified the competition even as their sales witnessed a growth. India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers, Hero MotoCorp, TVS Motors, and Royal Enfield witnessed an overall growth in their sales in October on a year-on-year basis.

Let us have a look at the sales of these two-wheeler manufacturer for the month of October 2024:

Hero MotoCorp

The Hero MotoCorp registered a total of two-wheeler sales of 6,79,091 units in October 2024. The motorcycle sales witnessed a growth of 20.11 per cent on a year-on-year basis. On the other hand, the scooter sales witnessed a decline of 5.01 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The total domestic sales of Hero MotoCorp grew by 17.44 per cent on a year-on-year basis and the exports also surged, registering a growth of 43.02 per cent on a year-on-year basis.

Overall, the Hero MotoCorp registered a growth of 18.12 per cent on a year-on-year basis.

TVS Motor Company

The TVS Motor Company saw total sales of 4,78,159 units in October 2023. The motorcycle segment of TVS Motors witnessed a surge of 14.29 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The scooter segment saw a surge of 17.14 per cent on a year-on-year basis. In the electric segment, the sales grew by 45.43 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The sales of the moped category witnessed a marginal growth of 0.73 per cent on a year-on-year basis.

The domestic sales of the TVS Motor company stood at 3,90,489 units, and saw a growth of 13.20 per cent on a year-on-year basis. Additionally, the exports also surged, and there were 87,670 units of exports in October 2024. The exports recorded a growth of 15.88 per cent on a year-on-year basis.

Overall, the TVS Motor Company registered a growth of 13.68 per cent on a year-on-year basis in the two-wheeler segment.

Royal Enfield

The Royal Enfiled recorded total sales of 1,10,574 units in October 2024. The company sells motorcycles in the 350cc, 450cc, and 650cc segments. Royal Enfield recorded domestic sales of 1,01,886 units and saw a growth of 25.85 per cent on a year-on-year basis. The exports of Royal Enfield stood at 8.688 units, having a growth of 149.87 per cent on a year-on-year basis. 

Overall, the Royal Enfield registered a growth of 30.96 per cent on a year-on-year basis in the two-wheeler segment.
