World EV Day special: The electric vehicle segment in India has seen an upsurge in demand among customers in India. On this World EV Day 2024, the Rs 15 lakh budget has a few options in the electric vehicle segment. Tata Tiago EV:

The Tiago EV from Tata Motors is based on the same platform as the ICE version of the Tiago. The Tiago EV is competitively priced with the MG Comet EV and is offered with two battery packs and a comfortable and spacious cabin. The Tiago EV has a claimed range of 315 km from its long-range model and is supported by fast charging. The Tiago EV has decent features on offer. The price of the Tiago EV starts at Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the XE medium-range variant.

Citroen eC3:

The next affordable EV on the list is the Citroen eC3. The Citroen eC3 is also based on the regular Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) version of the C3. The eC3 offers great comfortable cabin space, decent range, and a slew of features in this segment. It is one of the underrated EVs in its segment. The eC3 is offered with a single battery pack, that delivers a claimed range of 320 km, which is decent in its segment. The price of the Citroen eC3 starts at Rs 12.76 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Feel variant.
