Tata Motors Punch Price Hike: Check New Price, Variants
The Tata Punch remains one of the most sought-after compact SUVs in its segment, thanks to its bold design, excellent safety features, and competitive pricing
Tata Motors, one of India’s leading automobile manufacturers, has announced a price hike for its popular micro-Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Punch. Effective from January 2025, this increase comes as part of the company’s periodic pricing review, which factors in rising input costs and inflationary pressures.
Rs 12,000-17,000 hike
The company has announced a price hike of Rs 12,000 to Rs 17,000 across its variant lineup except for the base variant. The base variant of the Punch starts at Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The price of the manual transmission is revised by Rs 12,000 to Rs 17,000 and the prices of the AMT variants are revised by Rs 17,000
Impact on Customers
The Tata Punch remains one of the most sought-after compact SUVs in its segment, thanks to its bold design, excellent safety features, and competitive pricing. While the hike may make it slightly more expensive, it is still positioned attractively against competitors like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Hyundai Exter, and Nissan Magnite.
Value Proposition retained
Tata Motors’ decision to revise the pricing of the Punch reflects the broader industry trend of rising costs. However, its value-for-money proposition, combined with its strong safety and feature set, ensures it remains a top contender in the compact SUV market, as per industry analysts.
