Suzuki Motorcycle records sales of 1,04,800 units, a rise by 1% in August 2024

Suzuki Motorcycles has reported a marginal surge in sales, recording a 1 per cent growth on a YoY basis but exports recorded a decline on a YoY basis.

Suzuki sales in August: Suzuki Motorcycle India has reported a marginal surge in sales. The bike manufacturer recorded an increase in wholesales, by 1 per cent growth on a year-on-year basis in August. Suzuki recorded total wholesales of 1,04,800 units in August 2024.

As compared to the previous year, the auto manufacturer had dispatched 1,03,336 units to dealers in August 2023. There has been a slight growth of 1,464 units on a year-on-year basis.

"As we approach the festive season, we are ready to meet the increasing demand and continue delivering excellence in both products and services," Suzuki Motorcycle India Executive Vice President - Sales, Marketing, and After Sales Devashish Handa said.

Suzuki’s domestic sales:

The domestic market for Suzuki recorded a positive growth momentum ahead of the festive season. The manufacturer’s domestic sales saw an increase of 5 per cent on a year-on-year basis to 87,480 units in August 2024, as compared to 83,045 units in the same month last year. August 2024 witnessed a surge of 4,435 units over August 2023.

Suzuki’s exports:

Besides the domestic sales, the manufacturer’s exports registered a decline on a year-on-year basis. The auto manufacturer recorded total exports of 17,320 units last month, registering a decline of 17.15 per cent on a year-on-year basis, against 20,291 units in the year-ago period.

Suzuki Motorcycles offers entry-level Gixxer 150 motorcycles to the flagship Hayabusa. The Hayabusa is a sports bike, which is available in two variants and four colour options. The Hayabusa comes equipped with a 1340cc inline four-cylinder petrol engine, that churns out 190 BHP and 142 Nm torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox. The 2024 Hayabusa starts at Rs 16.90 lakh (ex-showroom) and has high-demand among superbike enthusiasts.
