Rise of EV chargers: Servotech Power Systems has announced about 400 units of DC Fast EV chargers securing an additional order valued at approximately Rs 20 crore. This order, received from Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) and other electric vehicles (EV) charger original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), highlights Servotech's expanding role in the development of India's improving EV infrastructure.

The project comprises the manufacturing, supply, installation, and deployment of these chargers nationwide, having a particular focus on BPCL petrol pumps as part of the BPCL E-drive Project. This initiative is aimed to enhance the accessibility to electric vehicle charging stations across the country and align with India's broader efforts towards sustainable mobility.

Earlier, Servotech had secured a substantial order for 1,800 DC Fast EV chargers from BPCL and other EV charger OEMs, which was originally valued at Rs 120 crore, which has now been increased by 20 per cent with this latest addition. The company's capability to meet the growing demand for EV infrastructure highlights its competitive edge in the market.

Sarika Bhatia,(Director, Servotech Power Systems), has expressed delight over the continued collaboration with BPCL. He said, " Servotech feels extremely elated to have worked for BPCL and is committed to living up to the trust BPCL has placed in us." This partnership highlights a strategic alignment that is aimed at fostering sustainable solutions in India's energy landscape.

The expansion of EV charging infrastructure is pivotal as India accelerates its transition towards cleaner energy alternatives. The deployment of these chargers will not only support the ongoing electric vehicle market but also contribute to reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy security.

Servotech's latest contract positions it prominently in the EV infrastructure sector, poised to capitalise on the growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions across the country.
