Royal Enfield sales declined by 5.10% YoY, dipped to 73,629 units in August 2024

Royal Enfield sales in August: Royal Enfield registered a decline in sales in August 2024. The retro-motorcycle manufacturer registered total sales of 73,629 units, including domestic sales and exports. This has resulted in a decline of 5.10 per cent on a year-on-year basis. On the contrary, the month-on-month sales witnessed a surge of 8.88 per cent, registering a surge of 6,004 units.

Bikes in the 350cc segment:

Royal Enfiled’s sub 350cc category recorded total sales of 61,087 units in August 2024. This segment consists of Classic 350, Hunter 350, and Bullet 350 models. This segment recorded a decline of 11.50 per cent on a year-on-year basis. On the contrary, the manufacturer recorded a surge in sales as compared to the previous month. In August, the manufacturer recorded a surge of 7.26 per cent on a month-on-month basis in this segment

Bikes in the larger than 350cc segment:

Royal Enfield offers its motorcycles with 450cc and 650cc engines as well. This segment of motorcycles registered total sales of 12,542 units in August 2024. This segment registered a growth both on a month-on-month and year-on-year basis. Royal Enfield registered a massive 46.52 per cent growth on a year-on-year basis and 17.49 per cent growth on a month-on-month basis.

Royal Enfield domestic sales:

The two-wheeler manufacturer, Royal Enfield recorded total domestic sales of 65,623 units in August 2024. There has been a decline in domestic sales as compared to the previous year. The manufacturer registered a 5.43 per cent decline on a year-on-year basis, and on the contrary, a growth of 6.59 per cent was recorded on a month-on-month basis.

Royal Enfield exports:

In August 2024, the total exports of Royal Enfield stood at 8,006 units, registering a marginal decline of 2.25 per cent on a year-on-year basis, but recorded a decent growth of 32.18 per cent on a month-on-month basis.
