BMW India expects sales to maintain growth momentum in 2025? - EV, New Launches & More

German luxury carmaker BMW is aiming for double-digit sales growth in 2025 after achieving record deliveries in 2024, according to Vikram Pawah, President and CEO of BMW Group India.


Record Sales in 2024


In 2024, BMW Group India recorded its best-ever annual car sales with 15,721 units, marking an 11% growth compared to the previous year. The BMW brand sold 15,012 units, while the MINI brand contributed 709 units. Additionally, BMW Motorrad, the company's motorcycle division, sold 8,301 units.


Expectation of Continued Growth


Pawah expressed confidence in achieving similar growth in 2025, emphasizing the robust strategy adopted three years ago. He noted strong growth across all segments, including entry-level, mid-level, and luxury vehicles.


BMW India: Electric Vehicle Sales


BMW's electric vehicle (EV) sales reached a cumulative total of 3,000 units in India in 2024. EVs accounted for 10% of total sales last year, with expectations to increase this to 15% by 2025.


BMW India: New Launches


BMW Motorrad launched the all-new BMW R 1300 GS Adventure motorcycle, priced at Rs 22.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries are set to begin in April 2025. Additionally, BMW introduced the all-new X3, priced at Rs 75.8 lakh. The sports activity vehicle (SAV), produced locally at BMW Group Plant Chennai, will be available in both petrol and diesel variants.
