The Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, which will be held in New Delhi, has set the stage for the next big leap in the automotive industry. The automobile exhibition will witness Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) stealing the show as manufacturers are showcasing their commitment to sustainable mobility and cutting-edge technology. From mainstream automakers to luxury brands, the spotlight remained firmly on EVs, underscoring their pivotal role in shaping the future of transportation.
Here are some anticipated highlights:
Hyundai Creta Electric
Hyundai is introducing the Creta Electric with two battery options: a 42 kWh pack offering an ARAI-certified range of 390 km, and a 51.4 kWh pack with a claimed range of 473 km. The vehicle supports fast charging, achieving 10 to 80 percent charge in 58 minutes with a DC fast charger.
Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara
Marking its entry into the EV segment, Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara is built on a skateboard platform, jointly developed with Toyota. It offers two battery options—49 kWh and 61 kWh—with the larger battery providing a range of up to 550 km per charge. The eVitara is expected to hit the market later this year, making electric mobility more accessible to the masses.
MG Cyberster
MG's electric roadster, the Cyberster, features a 77 kWh battery pack paired with dual electric motors, delivering a combined 510 hp and 725 Nm of torque. It has a claimed range of up to 580 km on a single charge and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
Tata Sierra EV
Tata Motors is reviving the iconic Sierra nameplate with an all-electric SUV. While specific battery details are yet to be disclosed, it's expected to offer a range of up to 500 km, featuring a contemporary design and advanced interior amenities.
MG M9 EV
Set to be India's first electric limousine, the MG M9 EV comes equipped with a 90 kWh battery pack, offering a driving range of up to 580 km.
Mahindra's Born Electric Lineup
Mahindra is also expected to showcase its future-ready electric SUVs-BE.05 and the rugged BE.Rall-E. The much-anticipated XUV.e8, an electric iteration of the XUV700, is also likelu to make its debut.
Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz will showcase the all-electric G 580 EQ technology, the ultra-luxury Maybach EQS Night Series, and the futuristic Concept CLA Class. The Concept CLA, built on Mercedes' MMA platform, boasts a range exceeding 750 km, signaling the brand's ambitious plans for electric mobility.
