Amit Shah highlights Rs 15 lakh crore infra boost in 100 days of Modi 3.0

100 days of Modi 3.0: Union Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday threw light upon the government's first 100 days of the third term by stating that projects worth Rs 15 lakh crore were approved ever since Modi government came back to power for the third time. Shah presented the full report card of the government highlighting the key milestone achieved in the first 100 days of Modi 3.0.
Infrastructure Investment
Shah highlighted that the government has committed around Rs 3 lakh crore to its development programs. One of the ambitious ones would be a road connectivity plan for nearly 25,000 villages at the cost of Rs 49,000 crore. Expansion of major roads connecting the entire nation would also be undertaken to the tune of Rs 50,600 crore.
New schemes and connectivity improvements
Recent Measures Introduced by the Government In this plan, the government has recently introduced PM eBus Sewa to alleviate the tax burden of a sizable number of startups by discontinuing the angel tax. The government also intends to enhance air and metro connectivity through plans to modernise Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport at Varanasi and Bagdogra in West Bengal. Bihta Airport would be upgraded and several new airstrips would be developed at Agatti and Minicoy.
Mega Port and Industrial Development
The most important development is the mega port to be constructed on Wadhwan in Maharashtra. It is expected to cost Rs 76,000 crore and will be one of the top 10 ports of the world from day one. In another set of developments, the government also reveals it has shortlisted 12 industrial zones around the country to be developed, indicating that the government is pushing very hard for industrial growth.
Metro Expansion Projects
Major investments in the metro sector included, like that of Bengaluru Metro, Pune Metro, Thane Integrated Ring Metro, and others, which added to the Nation's urban transit infrastructure. Infrastructure development, economic growth, and easier connectivity across the country were the strong commitments seen in the quick actions the government took within the first 100 days.
