'Don’t Do My Asthi Visarjan…' Bengaluru Techie's Heart-Wrenching Last Wish in Suicide Note
Suicide by Atul Subhash also stirred up a debate surrounding the harassment unleashed by wives using law.
Bengaluru techie Atul Subhash's alleged suicide has taken the internet by storm triggering a debate around the cases of harassment of men by their spouses and in-laws. In a suicide note, Atul Subhash complained about the ordeal unleashed by the judiciary and the legal framework, which, he complained was harsh on men.
“Mera Asthi Visarjan mat karna jab tak harasser punish na ho agar court kisi ko bhi guilty nhi manti toh mere asthi court ke samne gattar mai dal dena. (Don't immerse my ashes until the guilty are punished. If the court does not hold anyone guilty, then throw my ashes in a gutter in front of the court)," he is seen saying in the video. Among his last wishes, Subhash also urged that his child be returned to his parents.

Several people rallied for the cause highlighted by Subhash and built pressure on Accenture to fire Subash’s estranged wife Nikita Singhania. Atul Subhash also said that the estranged wife and their family was forcing him to pay Rs 3 crore in the settlement case. The wife, he alleged, was asking for Rs 30 lakh for allowing Subhash to meet his son who was living with his estranged wife.
Subhash in the last video also mentioned his last few wishes in which he said, “All my case hearings should happen live, and people of this country should know about my case and learn the terrible state of the legal system and misuse of law these women are doing.”
He also said, “ Don’t let my wife or her family come near my dead body. Don’t do my “Asthi Visarjan” till my harassers get punished. If the court finds no one guilty then pour ashes into some gutter outside the court.”
He went on to add, “Maybe my old parents should formally ask for euthanasia from the courts if the harassment and extortion continues.”
